Aimee Young Hopkins Presenting at Core Knowledge Foundation  National Education Conference

Our program director, Aimee Young Hopkins, will be presenting a seminar at the Anaheim Marriott on Thursday, November 20 at 1pm and Friday, November 21 at 10:15.  Ms. Aimee will be addressing the technique of teaching music and the arts for classroom teachers.  She will be using the Joyful Noise Curriculum for classroom teachers and discussing “On the Pulse of Morning” by Maya Angelou.

Private Music Student Aoife Calderon stars in “Oliver” at the Alex Theatre
Aoife Calderon, 14, a voice student at the Los Angeles High School of the Performing Arts (LACHSA) has landed her first lead role in that school’s opera production this fall.  On Friday, November 21 at 8:00pm and Saturday, November 22nd at 2:00pm and 7:30pm, Aoife will be playing the title role in the musical “Oliver”.  Aoife has been studying voice with Aimee Art Productions teacher, Liz Elliot, for a year, and is working hard to achieve her dream of someday being a star on Broadway.  She was one of Ms. Aimee’s very first dance students years ago at Studio A Dance and participated in their production of the “Nutcracker”.  “Oliver” is appropriate for everyone, ages 6 and up, and tickets can be obtained at www.alextheatre.com or at www.LACHSA.com.
