Aimee Art Productions

Our company is comprised of teaching artists who are passionate about learning and arts, and who strive to bring quality arts instruction to a variety of settings around Los Angeles, including schools, non-profits, and private families’ homes, through enriching, multicultural, esteem-building and team-building experiences in Theatre, Music, Dance and Visual Arts. Our mission is to build the self-esteem of the children of Los Angeles while nurturing their literacy in both their art form of choice, in its connections to Reading, Math, Social Studies and Science, and finally to arts careers and to other art forms.  We promote education through the arts!

“Imagination is more important than knowledge,” because “knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” -Einstein

Dear Musical Families, Friends and Colleagues,

I wanted to pass along this notice from our Steinway contact, Nancy Dovan. As a Steinway partner, Aimee Art Productions has the privilege and honor of having our recitals at Steinway gallery (this past November in Pasadena, and previously in West Hollywood) and we are fortunate enough to have the inside scoop from Steinway on master classes, sales events, and concerts.

I wanted to let you know about the Steinway & Sons Warehouse Sale. Taking place on January 25th & 26th, this special Clearance Sale is taking place at the Steinway & Sons Warehouse in La Mirada.
After a very successful year of sales from our two retail showrooms, we received an unexpected inventory of trade-ins, used pianos, and rental piano returns. We need to clear out our excess inventory from our warehouse. This warehouse is where we keep all of our trade-ins, rental pianos, excess stock, and even new boxed pianos. We’ll have 20 used upright pianos for under $2,000!

This inventory is only available at our Warehouse and the pricing will offer significant savings. The collection will be Steinway pianos, Steinway & Sons Boston & Essex pianos, as well as, other brands such as Yamaha & Kawai. There will be like-new, used, and rebuilt pianos available all carrying warranties from Steinway.

Steinway & Sons Warehouse Sale:
Saturday January 25th 10 AM to 6 PM
Sunday January 26th 10AM to 6 PM

Whether you are the professional pianist or a beginning student, the piano of your dreams will be available through Steinway & Sons. Please call me for an Appointment at 310.652.6666.

Kind regards,

Nancy H. Dovan

We are excited to tell you about two opportunities! Steinway is having a three day special sale on their pianos 6/21-6/23! See attached for the invitation letter and take advantage of this great opportunity. Also, one of our teaching artists is organizing a piano camp for the summer. This will take place 7/7-7/12. Please see attached for more information.
Summer Piano Camp
Music students have an opportunity to learn critical musicianship skills that are often neglected due to lack of time in a regular private lesson. This camp will feature lots of music theory and ear training games done in a group setting. Students are more motivated to succeed when working with their peers. The camp ensemble will produce a performance for the camp finale. Great fun for all in addition to all the learning. Camp dates July 8-12. Time: 9am to 3pm/ Cost: $250.00. Please call David Cutter (626)260-1615 for more information. Thank you!

A Note From Our Artistic Director About the Centrality of the Arts in a Child’s Education:
As our California Schools move toward adopting the Common Core Standards in 2015, the arts will become very central to student learning.  Project-based learning, performance assessments, and a variety of forms of text (including written music, written plays, choreography and perhaps even live performances, painting, and musical compositions) will make artists at the forefront of deeper student learning.
Please join Aimee Art Productions as we become a leading company in this movement of arts education transformation in the schools, preschools, and in families’ homes and neighborhoods.  This is an exciting time for arts education!

Below is an interesting article on the centrality of the arts within Common Core Standards:

Classes are in full swing this Spring! It has been such a pleasure to hear all the beautiful voices in choir classes at Franklin, to see the shadow puppets created and performed by the students at Dahlia Heights, to hear the little tapping shoes at Studio A Dance, and taste the treats of German Culture and Cuisine at Ben Franklin Elementary.

These are just a few of our classes that we are excited to offer for your children as they grow and share in the arts!
