Camp Mustang Music – Grade K/1 with Ms. Aimee for MUSIC!

Camp
Mustang is a special 4 hour morning program for children entering Kindergarten
or first grade in Fall 2012. Camp Mustang participants are arranged in groups
with other children entering the same grade and enjoy a variety of activities
throughout the day. Each group, led by their Camp Mustang counselors, rotates
through the following activities during the five weeks of Marlborough Summer
School: Stories, Words, and Numbers; Drama; Movement; Art; Music; and Sports
Activities. The Stories, Words, and Numbers component of our program is a sneak
peek of the coming school year. There is NO homework for Camp Mustang.

Children are placed in groups of no more than 16, with two counselors/teachers’ aides per
group. Each group stays together during the day and throughout the five weeks of
Camp Mustang. In order to offer individual instruction and attention, we can
only accommodate a maximum of 100 children who are enrolled on a first-come,
first-served basis. Please note: We do not accept requests to pair students in
groups. Groups are created so that everyone has a chance to meet new people.
Groups will be assigned in June.

Camp Mustang finishes at 12:15 p.m. Parents who want their children to participate in
afternoon programs should sign up for Afternoon Athletics, Afternoon Learning
Fun, The Lion King Performance Workshop, Afternoon Recreational Swim, or another
activity until 2:45 p.m., or EduChess until 2:15 p.m., and if needed,
After-School Care from 2:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Children participating in afternoon
programs will have lunch in their group with a counselor. Students who are not
enrolled in afternoon programs must be picked up at the Front Gate at 12:15
p.m.

All parents are invited to attend the Camp Mustang Performance showcasing the skills
the children have learned at 11 a.m. July 27.
