We offer private music lessons in all instruments, with a highly qualified teaching artist coming to your home at a time that is mutually convenient, once a week at a set time.  We provide an eclectic and time-tested approach to music education – a combination of Orff and Kodaly methodology, Suzuki training, traditional music-reading and theory, listening exercises, visual and auditory cues, singing, and kinesthetic learning through movement, dance, stomping, clapping, and touching the instrument using proper technique.  We teach to each child’s strengths and offer motivation for practicing in the form of positive reinforcement through compliments, stickers, stamps, recitals, master classes, piano team opportunities, and more.   Each teaching artist has his/her own style and method, and we find the right fit for your child, making learning fun, building their self-esteem and literacy through the art of music.

Pricing

$70 per hour

$65 for 45 min
$55 for half hour

We buy sheet music and books for children and put it on your invoice for reimbursement.

We also offer a 10% off discount for siblings and/or neighbors if the lessons are taught in one location back-to-back.  So we can teach 2 children for half hour each for $99, or 3 children for half hour each for $149, or 4 children for $198.

I invoice everyone once a month at the beginning of the month based on a monthly average of 4 weeks per month.  If you miss a lesson, it will be credited to the next month.  We do ask for a minimum of 3 lessons a month for consistency for teacher and student.  I have a very simple Client Agreement which I’ll mail to you with 24-hours notice policy etc.  You are welcome to try a trial lesson first to see how your child likes it, and you’re only responsible for that one lesson if it doesn’t work out. But I’m sure it will!

We have two recitals per year, usually in November or December and May or June, plus opportunities to play on “Piano Teams” when they get more advanced, and to have workshops and master classes.
